Programme Introduction:
City & Guilds has designed the skills proficiency awards to provide a broad introduction to essential practical skills for those undergoing training or employed in these areas of work.
Practical Competences:
Carry out safe working practices to prevent hazards and to ensure the safety of working personnel and members of the public.
Carry out safe working practices using various equipment/materials to protect surrounding work areas from damage.
Carry out safe erection, use and dismantling of simple scaffold platforms less than 2m high.
Inspect for faults, set up and safely use steps and ladders in general use.
Set up safety barriers around refrigeration and air conditioning hazards to protect working personnel and members of the public.
